Marine Chemist Certification
We provide Marine Chemist certification for hot work authorization in the Port of Hampton Roads for shipyard clients inside and outside the Port of Hampton Roads, Virginia. Navy vessels, MSC vessels, tugboats, barges and LNG tankers are just a few of the vessels we service on a daily basis.
Testing and Monitoring Services
Testing of paint chips for lead, chromium and cadmium has become more and more a concern in regard to worker exposure issues. In order to meet your needs, MC & EC now utilizes the latest atomic absorption spectrophotometer equipment ( Perkin Elmer Analyst 800). Using microwave digestion techniques, we can provide results within 1-3 days. All testing is performed and reported by an ABIH Certified Industrial Hygienist.
W also provide field worker exposure monitoring services – using only certified personnel as applicable. Heavy metal exposure studies are commonplace for MC & EC. Our reports are formatted to meet OSHA requirements should an inspection occur on your worksite.
